Digital transformation has significantly reshaped communication, education, business, governance, and everyday life across the Global South. Telangana has emerged as one of India's leading states in digital innovation through initiatives such as digital governance, smart city development, startup ecosystems, and widespread internet connectivity. This paper examines how technology and digital media are influencing cultural practices, social interactions, and economic opportunities in Telangana. It explores the growing role of social media platforms, digital content creation, online education, e-commerce, and digital public services in promoting inclusive development while also highlighting challenges such as the digital divide, misinformation, privacy concerns, cyber security risks, and unequal access to technology in rural and marginalized communities. The study adopts a conceptual and descriptive approach based on recent literature, government reports, and secondary data to analyze the evolving digital ecosystem. The findings suggest that although digital technologies have enhanced participation, innovation, and access to information, achieving sustainable and inclusive digital development requires stronger digital literacy, ethical media practices, robust policy implementation, and improved digital infrastructure. The paper concludes that Telangana offers a valuable model for understanding digital transformation and media culture within the broader context of the Global South.
