International Journal of South Asian and Global South Studies welcomes original and quality research in the fields of Global South and SAARC literature. All submissions should be made using academic standards that are well outlined, clear and credible standards by authors.

Scope of Submissions

The journal accepts:

  • Research articles
  • Review papers
  • Critical essay
  • Book reviews

Articles need to revolve around South Asian, Global South and related literary and cultural studies.

Originality and Quality

Manuscripts should be of original and unpublished work. The paper ought to contain:

  • Clear research objectives
  • Clear and properly-founded arguments.
  • The use of sources and references is well used.
  • Proper and correct writing.
  • The submission should not be to any other journal.

Manuscript Structure

The authors will be expected to present their papers in a standard manner:

  • Title of the paper
  • Name of author(s) and affiliation.
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (4–6 terms)
  • Main content (with headings and subheadings)
  • Conclusion
  • References

The design must favour brevity and logical flow.

Formatting Requirements

  • Use regular, decipherable font (e.g., Times New Roman)
  • Font: 12 point main text.
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Use a regular referencing format (as indicated by the journal)
  • Make sure there are sufficient margins and alignment.

Referencing Style

The journal requires the authors to adopt a known academic citing style (MLA, APA, or Chicago). Citations of all sources should be made to uphold academic integrity.
